Skill #1: Typing…Fast

Truly! Typing is an essential skill to have in many spaces. Especially as we inch closer to a world rid of notebooks and pens.

You may be thinking – of course I can type! I believe you! Typing is seen as a given. Particularly because sending emails, texting or even submitting typed assignments are common everyday tasks.

However, not many persons can type at the average typing speed, which is about 40 words per minute. Some persons are two-finger typers – even on a desktop/laptop as opposed to a mobile device. They search for the letters and find them after a couple seconds. Resulting in a lower typing speed.

On the other hand, there are persons who can type without even looking and second guessing whether the words are being spelt -correctly. You would be in awe, watching typing professionals type up to 120 words per minute! Some, with all fingers!

That doesn’t come naturally. It is a skill you sharpen overtime. A skill that doesn’t only require you to type words from finding letters – but also utilize numbers, signs and symbols.
