Ideally, that post clearly highlighted that it is not enough to have great goals with no growth!

In no particular order, let’s get straight into it!
#1 Validate Your Own Ideas
Too often, persons are timidly delaying their ideas and depending on others to be enthusiastic about them -before they feel so themselves.
Furthermore, they may never turn those ideas to light if they do not get that push from others.
The truth is, you have to believe in and validate your ideas. Be enthusiastic about them. So long as you are – that energy will shine through and become contagious.
Maybe not immediately, but ultimately. This way, you don’t only have an idea – but you are growing from the idea. Exactly what needs to happen. That way, both goals and growth will be actualized!
#2 Be Proactive
Imagine this – You want to create another stream of income before the year is out.
Therefore, you decide you’ll do so by signing up with Swagbucks. After all, all you need to do is answer surveys, download games etc. and get points that turn into dollars.
Surprisingly, you never actually sign up. So, how will you earn? That seems logical and simple – but only because it’s explained so well.
Many persons need to sort documents, have them signed – need to do courses, get licenses etc. and they are not proactive in getting these these things done.
As a result, opportunities are missed. And growth is sacrificed.
#3 Have Accountability Partners
It is no surprise, that left to ourselves we can easily push tasks aside and procrastinate. That is why it is important to have accountability partners in all areas of life.
Just think about it. For students, an accountability partner can help you stay on track with assignments and studies. For the ever so occupied professional, an accountability partner could remind you to indulge in self care. You get the gist.
These people should be reliable and want the best for you.
Hence, choose people who care and who are willing to be your accountability partner.
By doing this, you have reminders in the form of people who help you to get things done. Contributing to your growth.
#4 Start
Yes. Some things are that simple. Or may even become more manageable… once you start.
It’s like staring at a blank paper or an empty plot of land. The task ahead seems so immense. You become riddled with questions and uncertainties. You stare at the task and find comfort in your head.
However, things would begin to take shape and become closer to completion – if you just start.

#5 Utilize Your Strengths
Learning how to find your success zone is an important aspect of gearing up to succeed. A major part of that, is utilizing your strengths. In doing so, you begin to see the type of growth that positions you towards success.
Likewise, focusing on your strengths allows you to do what you love. In so doing, you do not feel easily burnt out nor coerced.
An environment like your strength zone is ripe for success.
#6 Pause and Reflect
Growth isn’t about going, going, going. There must be times when you pause to reflect.
How else would you assess your life, goals and growth? And if you do not pause to reflect – what guide do you have to go forward?
A part of growing and improving is getting better, changing systems and assessing approaches.
Make it a regular habit to pause and reflect. Truthfully.
#7 Be Intentional
If you plan to wait around for your growth – you may be unpleasantly surprised that it doesn’t come.
Similarly, if it does come, it may not be to the full potential possible. Being intentional about your growth sets your soul on fire. The type of fire that makes you want to try multiple approaches, intentionally in the pursuit of your growth.
Having stellar goals is not enough. You really need to be intentional about actualizing them.
Hence growing.
#8 Journal
Journaling is a superb way to get your thoughts in front of you – on paper. It helps you document, manifest and stay in tune with your goals.
Done consistently, you will keep abreast of your thoughts. Of course, journaling on it’s own is no surety for growth.
Nonetheless, being aware of yourself helps with growth and journaling helps with that.
#8 Heed Constructive Criticisms
There is something powerful about the truth. It is oftentimes not what you want to hear – but what you need to hear.
Consequently, it may seem harsh when constructive criticisms are being meted out. You may be tempted to be defensive.
Try as much as possible to guard against this. You see, heeding constructive criticisms is a sign of maturity and willingness to make changes towards your growth.
In essence, you do not turn a blind eye to the things hindering your growth. Stay close to the people who give you constructive criticisms. They often mean you well.
Otherwise, they would turn a blind eye, uphold with your lack of growth and fill you with flattery. Those things do serve you well.
#9 Confront Your Reality
What is your reality like?
Certainly, it will be different from that of others. Which is exactly why you need to confront your reality. In doing so, you become honest with yourself about the situations you face and how they can either hinder or enhance your growth.
Ultimately, you may need to take different approaches to actualize you growth. Even though persons may be in the same environment as yourself – your realities will vary.
So, confront your reality and make the necessary decisions to grow.
#10 Delay Gratification
Essentially, delaying gratification doesn’t mean putting living your life on hold in order to bend to the stipulations of the day to day.
Instead, there is an element of priority. Order the things in your life – particularly those in relation to your growth journey and the potential you know is possible.
What are the things that fall a top the list? Those would be of priority to you.
Consequently, in order to have them actualized, you may need to delay indulging in other things that are not priority at the moment.
That then, is delaying gratification in order to experience growth.
#11 Stay Close to Like-Minded People
Birds of a feather, flock together.
Ideally, people who are serious about their goals and growth, tend to communicate and connect better with like-minded individuals.
Someone who is not interested in uplifting themselves may be draining to be around if you are quite the opposite.
Similarly, persons who remain goal wise and growth foolish, may not have the right energy you need to be around to grow.
When you stay close to the people who have similar values, drive and a growth mindset– your values, drive and growth mindset are preserved and sharpened.
Of a fact, people will want to experience growth differently. However, a growth mindset and the actual process of growing is something you should look out for among the people you spend time with. Especially those you are easily influenced by.
#12 Invest In Self
Investing in yourself is one of 5 things you should never feel guilty about.
Particularly when this investment is a contributing factor to your growth. With self investment, a value for self is substantiated. Both are necessary on your growth journey.
Therefore, whether you choose to invest time or resources in yourself – go ahead.
Conclusively
A major part of growth is intentionality.
Subsequently, it is not enough to have goals and no growth. Always strive to have growth – care how small or steady.
