The BEST Way To Predict Your Future is to Create it

You must have visualized at some point in time what you want your future to look like. So far, some things may not have turned out how you predicted and that is okay.

Truth is, nothing will ever be 100% perfectly predicted – especially not your future.

Nonetheless, bear in mind, that you are capable of turning an unfavourable situation into something great.

Therefore, you still have permission to predict. In predicting your future, you actually have an idea of what things might be like.

However, let’s not play God. Obviously, some things are meant to go completely south, when you intended north. The beauty about this is that – the shift may just turn out perfectly. You may not be able to see the bright side immediately but one day for sure.

Make it a habit to be aware of all aspects of your life. Financially, educationally, your home, partner, career, recreation, your spirituality – you name it! Predict how you want them to be.

Now, it’s time to Create!

Prediction on its own is inadequate. You will need to put specific and measurable actions into play.

In essence, you now need to create the future you desire.

As a result, become in tune with all areas of your life. What are the things you need to do or need not do, to contribute to your desired future?

Essentially, like hope and faith, you must believe in your ability to create your future.

That reminds me, ensure your predicted future is in line with your values. When all else fails, it is the things you value that will help you stay disciplined to achieve this future of yours.

Day in, and day out, do something that will propel you one step further, in actualizing your desired outcomes. Rely heavily on the creation than the prediction. In creating your future you actually put ideas into action.

Learn About – and Get Life Insurance

This point is one you NEED to consider seriously. As I mentioned here, I have some background where insurance advising and sales are concerned.

For a fact, life is risky and many times, people are unprepared for these risks. Insurance doesn’t only covers risks, it enhances growth. And you need to get insurance before it is too late.

Having car insurance is good. But not good enough. If your car is so important, imagine your life, health and family.

Without going into an Insurance course, let me tell you the basics.

Firstly, the younger you are – the less premium (cost for coverage) you pay.

In addition, the earlier you secure your life insurance – the sooner it begins to accumulate cash value which can be used as collateral and savings.

Many persons omit to find out for themselves the benefits of having life insurance. Do not be like many who still remain ignorant to the facts or hold on to distorted versions.

Be the person to tell your friends and families about the benefits and importance of insurance. Be it, Life, Health and the list goes on.

Evidentially, policies are more affordable than you think! Consult with a registered and licensed representative today .

Stop Trading Your Time For Things You Do Not Value

The saying may get old, but it will never loose it’s truth. “Time wasted, can never be regained.”

Undoubtedly, time is precious and you are too. As a result, you should always strive to use your time well.

For sure, that won’t always be the case – who said we’re perfect?

Nonetheless, it’s not ideal to use up your time on things you do not value. Whether it be work you do not enjoy, company you do not value or activities that drain and add no value to you.

It is rather peculiar how persons don’t realize that youth is not forever and neither is our present life.

We are like blades of grass. We come to prime and in time we just wither away

In the interim, it seems sensible to use the now, to truly engage in the things you love! You will always feel drained, uninspired and stuck – if you stick to the things and places you do not value – and which adds no value to you.

Whether it be for money, security, to put on a show or out of fear, it doesn’t serve you. Become intentional about your growth and do not be afraid to trade-offs these things for value and growth.

You Do Not NEED a Credit Card

I said it. Forget the ads designed to pull you in and suck you up with the fancy life rewarded with having a credit card. You truly do not need one or any at all.

Frankly, credit cards are useful financial tools that come in very handy. You may already have yours and see tremendous benefits from it. Exclusive membership, easy purchases, ability to carry out transactions online, rewards… plus they fit nicely in purses and wallets

Prior to having this view (not needing a credit card), I thought as a modern woman, and to become integrated in the transactional online world – I needed to get a credit card.

As a matter of fact, I went to the bank to gather information, take home brochures and even signed up for a representative to call me.

Then, as per usual, I went into binge reading on the internet. I read all the pros and cons of having credit -cards. I decided the pros were good but the life I am creating is better, sticking with the cons.

If you definitely want to keep or get your credit card (s), it is totally up to you. Assess your realities, financial needs and choose the one (s) best for you.

And if it makes you feel better, many banks now have debit cards that provides you with the freedom a credit card would. Only, in this case – you spend directly from the money you do have.

Loyalty vs. Settling

You ought to know the difference and reflect same in your life!

While loyalty is about allegiance and firm support, settling can be mistaken for same too. To settle may denote that one has become complacent, and blinded into believing their support is out of loyalty – when in fact, it may be out of situational reasons.

Pause regularly to access your affiliation with places, causes, people and things. Why do you remain supportive? Why do you stay affiliated?

Is it out of strong allegiance or convenience? Do you feel proud or is it just privillages?

Upon making these distinctions, you begin to outline more clearly, your character and values and where to really pump your support.

Which do you prefer? To be loyal or to settle?

Please choose loyalty! (praying hands emoji).

Build Up Your Foundation

As simple as this sounds, it is of immense value! No matter how old you get, how well off you become, how angry you left… your foundation is usually one of the first places you run back to.

In this case, your foundation is home. For sure, not everyone grew up with their families nor in a family place of abode. Therefore, let us extend home to also represent your humble beginnings whatever and wherever that is.

Sometimes too, home (your foundation) are the people and even communities that made significant contributions to your upbringing.

Don’t toss out your foundation.

Frankly, you may not be able to visit often, do much nor change things drastically as needed.

Nonetheless, it should be something you strive for, in you own little way. Building up your foundation not only supports you from the harsh unknowns to come – but also gives you a deeper sense of belonging and peace of mind.

Create Good Memories – Intentionally

Just as it is recommended to be intentional about your growth – be intentional about happy memories too.

It is the prime time to reflect on the quote that says:

“Moments come and go, but memories last forever.”

Anonymous

Quite possibly… you want happy memories – to last. The good thing is that you can create them. The are many opportunities to literally create happy memories.

It is easy to live moment by moment, recalling vaguely anything you really enjoyed. That’s not good enough.

In creating happy memories, you won’t struggle to remember the details. Reflecting on those memories can instantly bring you joy.

Some years ago, I shared with my friend Jodi, my fear of loosing my father. He is a senior and had me after eight other children – some of whom could be my parents!

While old doesn’t mean dying, I couldn’t help but feel fearful sometimes. She revealed to me something that changed my perspective and vanquished my fear!

She told me to enjoy all the moments spent together and to make happy memories! Ever since, I have created and collected memories everyday.

Be encouraged to do the same with the people you love and for yourself too!

Read The Fine Prints

I am not yet an attorney, just a student of law. However, you can mark my word on this one.

Read the fine Prints! Okay, let’s be honest – who reads terms and conditions in details before clicking “I agree”? I feel terrible saying it, but I didn’t always read the fine prints.

Not anymore however. Even it it means scanning through and paying attention to the repeated phrases or specially marked sentences.

To add, I utilize Google and YouTube for summaries and simplified explanations.

You may be thinking that there is no harm in not reading the fine prints. Maybe not the ones you’ve overlooked so far but harm is surely possible if you keep up that attitude.

Keep an Eye Out For Patterns

Just as how the bills come at a specific time each month and lights change within estimated seconds – so too, other things in your life may be predictable

That means, you need to keep an eye out for patterns. Particularly if these patterns are followed by things affecting your growth.

Do you notice that there is hardly anyone who does the work with you – but more than can be seated when it is time to reap?

What about energy? How refreshed or drained are you after being in certain spaces? How often do you notice this?

You get the gist. Very few things just happen suddenly. A lot of things have warning signs and developing patterns that you should pay attention to.

This helps you divert certain outcomes or simply, not taken by surprise. Especially the unwanted surprises.

Take People With You To the Top!

Yes indeed!

Think about it, you must have had someone who looked out for you. Be it parents, a mentor, a good Samaritan, ancestors or even an unexpected – never to be seen again stranger.

Truly, no one does it all alone. In supporting others, you pay it forward and live up to the law of contribution. An expression of gratitude for the support you would have also received.

Mistake me not, you shouldn’t just grab and take everyone to the top. That is not possible and you don’t want to tire yourself to the point where you don’t even get there. Not everyone is interested nor willing to go the journey anyway.

Instead, keep an eye out for persons who prove themselves to be willing, disciplined and have the mindset to go uphill with you.

Someone (persons) who will not drag you down nor throw you off the top. While it can be hard to determine this – you can look out for patterns (as mentioned above). Assess them at every rung of the ladder.

Who knows, someone may just be taking that approach with you! Or me! (interesting)

Additionally, wherever there is up, there is down. Passing people along and refusing to contribute to supporting them to the top, could mean they do the same to you – on your way down.

While you ought not help just for the return in favour – it remains true that sometimes, the people you look out for – look out for you.

Who will you look out for?
